Re: Lumber Species in Phoenix

If we assume Rich isn't a troll (which I believe we can safely assume based on part participation), how about an answer? My bet is Hem-Fir No. 2, but I'm not on that coast anymore. Perhaps we might have been more helpful if he'd given less information:

"What is the typical species and grade number of 2x12's bought off the shelf at big box stores in the Phoenix area?"

I have to evaluate adding equipment to an existing wood framed floor in
Phoenix. It is 2x12's at 16" o.c. I assume the typical lumber in Phoenix
is Doug Fir. Is that correct? If so, is north or south? What is the
typical grade number of 2x12's bought off the shelf at Home Depot?
