Re: Articles on soil vibrations from rollers

Marlou:

Caltrans is always getting sued for pile driving, excavation and compaction equipment that allegedly caused cracks in nearby developments.  I have seen some of their research on particle velocity for various types of construction activities based on the various distances from the buildings claiming damage.  You may try contacting them.
Hope this helps.

Subject: Articles on soil vibrations from rollers

Gentlemen,

Does anyone know of any good papers or research conducted on the effects of vibrations in soils from a vibratory roller or a pile driving machine to nearby structures.

Thanks.
