Re: quality of works

Chris,

If you were reading too much into the posting I may have been
reading too little.

I was assuming that there were NO safety related issues, that no
engineer would accept such things. I was assuming that only cosmetic issues
were being considered open for discussion.

It's not uncommon, in contracts that I have had knowledge of
(including government contracts), for the Owner to have the option of
accepting work that did not meet specification in consideration for a
reduction in contract price. But never at the expense of safety! Never!!!
