I am unclear on the vibration problems. When checking
floor vibration (I.e. people walking on floor)
standard practice is to assume composite construction
for checking vibration even if shear studs are not
used. If this assumption is valid then one would not
expect lack of studs to result in vibration problem
unless some damage occured as a result of lack of
composite action.
Since either solution seems feasible I would let the
Contractor make the choice.
Also do not forget to tell the Contractor that unless
he wants to rebuild part of the building as per the
original drawings, he needs to agree to pay you for
your time.
