Re: AISC Prequalified Connection Provisions


Mark,

AISC has taken over the procedure for prequalified connections however if you read the commentary to AISC 358 they say that the FEMA 350 connections are still acceptable providing they are allowed by your local building department.

Is this document (ANSI/AISC 358-05) designed to supersede the FEMA 350 documents? Are the connections that we frequently use (WUF-B for example) no longer allowed?
