RE: Dubai building code

does not have a uniform code. However, different jurisdictions within (DM, TECOM, JAFZA) have their own requirements. Even some "developments" such as DIFC have special requirements. These in general refer to British, American or Australian standards/codes for structural requirements. Some jurisdictions even allow the designer to use any of these codes.

For seismic loads, generally UBC-97 zone 2B is adopted in all jurisdictions.
