Re: splice of welded wire mesh

That's what I remembered from jobs long ago...  just checking per ACI 12.8 and it has a fancy formula that gets me a minimum of 6" for a 4" wire spacing.

I think we usually spec a "two square" lap.

 

i.e., for a 6x6 mesh, that's 1'-0"
