TEXTURE 1-11 or T1-11, is a registered trade name for a special APA 303 Rated Siding Panel. T1-11 is an all veneer (plywood) panel with shiplapped edges and parallel grooves 1/4" deep, 3/8" wide; available in 19/32" and 5/8" thicknesses.
APA Trademarked 303-siding, is an all-veneer panel manufactured to APA 303 Siding Specification.
ICC Evaluation Service Report, ESR-2586 Section 4.6 paragraph 9. states, "The shear values for 303 siding panels installed directly to the studs or over gypsum sheathing are the same as those specified in the IBC Table 2306.4.1 for plywood panel siding. Thickness at point of nailing at panel edges determines allowable shear wall values. A copy of ESR-2586 is attached.

Subject: the use of T1-11 Siding Plywood
Can I use T1-11 exterior plywood sheathing for shearwall?
If yes, would that mean I would not need plywood or OSB sheathing for my shearwall?
