RE: ICC Green Building Code

Hey Bill...

Not trying to be a smart *** here, but how is the job search going?

I get probably three resumes a day from guys with your level of experience
so I am just curious how things are in TX.

And no, I am not hiring.

We are "keeping a low profile" around here with 15 small jobs as opposed
To four or five nice ones until Labor Day, when we have been told that
things should get going again.

One possible sign: we did the SE for a residential project in Chicago
That was not completed and went into foreclosure. Tomorrow morning, I am
meeting the new developer who bought the project from the bank for pennies
On the dollar and he wants to hire us to finish the building.

However, two large projects that we passed on (developer is a REAL jerk)
went into foreclosure in the last few weeks, so who knows.

Sometimes the best jobs are the ones you don't get (or take).

I always think that's a ridiculous statement. Why "get over it" when
there's always another election coming up?

Or do you know something we don't?
