As part of safety induction for AAPT mobile phone rollout here in Adelaide. We were told story of security guard who being cold one night found a warm spot on the roof top, in the path of the microwave dishes, he fell asleep. Next day they apparently found him cooked and dead. Not sure how true the story is. But kept everyone away from all the existing antennas installed on the roof tops and towers. I recollect there were three hazard zones for the antennas, the smallest and closest to the antenna, had a safe exposure time of less than 2 minutes. Electromagnetic radiation is the stuff that bakes potatoes in your microwave. Most electronics won't do you much harm, but the Navy has had casualties with people working around radar installations on shipboard. Just for my own curiosity, doesn't it make you a little uncomfortable inspection something like this that you've never been close to?
