Re: Reuse/reinstall of lag bolt in wood

The 2005 NDS in section 11.1.2.2  requires the holes to be a minimum of 1/32" to a maximum of 1/16" larger than the bolt diameter.  Reusing the holes may not meet this requirement.  Another option is to use the same holes but use a lag screw that has a larger diameter.
