RE: STRUCTURAL ENGINEERING VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

You could check with your state's emergency management agency.  I attended a training seminar in Nashville put on by TEMA for FEMA 154, Rapid Visual Screening of Buildings for Potential Seismic Hazards, and ATC 20, Procedures for Post-earthquake Safety Evaluation of Buildings.  I am on volunteer lists to be called upon for post-earthquake evaluations in KY, TN, and for the Army Corps of Engineers.  As far as paid opportunities go, there are IDIQ contracts for this kind of work.
