the USA cars, from a global perspective, are not considered unreliable and I think you're aware of that.

And here are some irrelevant fun facts.

American cars were virtually non-existent here in East Europe before 2008. (Well there was that old 70's or 80's Lincoln that I hired for my wedding back in 2004 but it doesn't count.)

Somewhere in 2008, you guys went all recession and these cars, which could not find a buyer anymore, started to appear on the streets and now a Dodge or a Jeep is a more or less common sight here.

Also, cars like Toyota Tundra/Sequoia appeared, which were clearly made for USA market (they practically don't fit into the street here).

Anyway, I'm not sure whether any of these are actually American-made.

As for the science, yours is the cream from the world's milk, it's that simple. Winning a war has its perks. And later, drawbacks.
