Bill, I would have 2 (potential) concerns:
1. The finish at each side of the vertical construction joint may not match, especially since foundation construction tolerances don't often match floor construction/finishing tolerances.
2. Detail B seems to provide limited resistance to vertical movement of the slab relative to the foundation, either downward or upward.
The significance of these may depend on the use.
