IIRC, there were six new applications filed this year with the NRC, the first in 30 years.

There's only one real "alternative energy solution" at this time. It's NUCLEAR. It's a solution that's staring us in the face but because we've allowed a single religious movement - environmentalism - to have so much power and sway in U.S. government, no one will consider it.
We deserve what we get as a result.
