RE: underground house

I show details of the membrane, drainage, etc. and take responsibility for
what I design. I have lots of reference material to back up what I do. I do
not take responsibility for the construction beyond typical structural
observation anymore that I would be responsible for a contractor leaving out
a holdown that would have been concealed and not seen on one of my visits.
I think our clients pay us to know something about building design and
construction and you cannot go through life avoiding responsibility for what
you are supposed to do.
If the architect or someone else shows those details that's okay but someone
has to be responsible for getting it designed. And, as I said before, if the
job goes bad, everyone who is involved ends up at the mercy of the lawyers.

I show it, but refer to the AD for details. Are you staying you take
