RE: ASCE 7-05 Equivalent of CBC Section 1633.2.5 ??

I think I found it. Section 12.14.7.1 says 0.20SDS.

 

Is this correct?

I’m trying to tie something very flexible to something very rigid (think patio cover attachment to existing house).

 

In the past, rightly or wrongly, I used 0.5CaI.

 

What is the ASCE 7-05 equivalent?
