Re: Threaded anchor rod

Per ASTM F1554 for anchor bolts they reference ASME B1.1 for the dimensions.  Within ASTM F1554 there is a Table 5 (taken from ASME B1.1) that shows the minimum body diameter for a 1 inch diameter bolt with rolled threads to be 0.91" and for cut threads to be 0.976".

Subject:        Threaded anchor rod

I specified 1" diameter anchor rods for a foundation. In the field I found the anchor rods having 7/8" diamenter in its threaded part. The contractor said that the anchor rods were fabricated from 1" diameter rods and some material is lost in the thread fabrication. It is correct? What specification covers de dimension and tolerances for fabricated threads?
